Intel shares slid in Thursday's trading session following the departure of Rob Bruckner, a 25-year veteran who led the Platform Engineering Group. The design expert's MOVE to Dell Technologies' commercial PC division deals a strategic blow as Intel battles to regain semiconductor market share.

Bruckner's exit triggered an immediate reorganization, with Intel merging his former division with the Silicon Engineering Group under Mike Hurley's leadership. "These teams already collaborate closely," said Lip-Bu Tan, framing the consolidation as an efficiency play rather than a reaction to the departure.
